Our Programs

We start our charity work by supporting independent children's libraries and soon we learn that the libraries need more books that are engaging and inspiring for children.

We also see that parents and children have little or no access to quality books that can help to spark their interest in reading and foster a love of learning. We would like to help the children find books they want to read and let them read for pleasure.

The Little Library

The first program which we launched in 2024 to support community libraries or known as 'taman baca' on remotes areas in Indonesia in providing children who have little or no access to good books.

We donate AUS$300 per month to each little library for 3 months to replenish their bookshelves with engaging children's books and to keep these libraries open, welcoming, and well-stocked.

Book Bank

Book Bank is a new program in 2025 to inspire our Little Libraries to collaborate by sharing their books with each other. Each library will create a library catalogue that allows users to search for books in the library's collection and borrow the books.

The collaboration involves all the libraries working together to achieve common goals, share resources, and enhance services for their communities.

Our Library

Our Library highlights some of the books that we select for stocking our Little Libraries — titles that are engaging, age-appropriate, culturally inclusive, and proven to spark curiosity in young readers.

Every dollar donated to Power of Books will be put toward buying brand-new books and distributing them to the libraries who need them most, based on their specific needs.
