Third Little Library

Taman Baca Alfabet, a children's public library in Ngadirejo, Kartasura sub-district, Sukoharjo Regency, Central Java, Indonesia, for the period of October to December 2024.

Taman Baca Alfabet was established in the village of Kopen Sae with a dream that the children in their community will prefer reading books in favour of computer and mobile games. The community joined hand in hand to build the facilities and infrastructure for the libary in 2018.

Soon they realised that there was a significant interest in reading among the young readers in the village. As their collection of books grew, they opened additional libraries in neighbouring villages to meet the growing demand for reading materials. They recently started another branch in Sulawesi Tenggara, a province on the island of Sulawesi.

Taman Baca Alfabet is a second home to the children in their community, to grow in an environment that nurtures knowledge and kindness. It is dedicated for the children, guiding each of their hopeful step towards a better future.
